Pretty much everywhere in Indonesia other than Bali, Gili, Nusa Penida, and Lombok will be pretty strict Muslim places. Not saying it's something to stay away from, obviously. The whole country is pretty great to experience and the country isn't oppressive in its religious practices. The only place we found that was remotely relaxing and like the Bali of old was the Gili Islands, just off Lombok. We'll never visit Bali again.
